Waiting periods indicate the time that must elapse between registration with health insurance and the possibility of using certain services. Only the following services have waiting periods:

If you had at least one year of coverage under another company's health insurance policy in Spain when you joined Sanitas, you can reduce or even eliminate the waiting periods on your new policy, except for childbirth.
The maximum contracting age for this product is 75 years.

A co-pay is a small amount the customer pays when using certain services, allowing us to offer a lower premium. If you're going to use your insurance infrequently, a product with co-pays can be a good way to save on your premium.
Since we offer products that can be purchased with or without copayments (with identical coverage in both cases), you can choose the option that best suits your needs. You can see the copayment details in each product's details. These copayments are billed monthly.

An annual surcharge of 0,15% is added for the first month only.
There is no need to add VAT or any other tax to the policy price, except for the Insurance Compensation Surcharge, which is payable only on the first bill and represents 0,15% of the net annual premium.
